Meet the Designer, Goldsmith and Facetter

Aimee is a jeweller powered by a need to make interesting and beautiful things. With a passion in art history and a love of design (new and old) you’ll see these themes present itself in all of her work. Rustic texture, soft and romantic motifs, sharp and strong geometric elements, all designed to empower through adornment.

Aimee makes every item with the hopes that the wearer will feel strong and confident.

Born in Ottawa to a family brimming with strong and creative individuals. She was raised to value thinking outside the box, learning new things always, teaching what you’ve learned and caring for those around you to support and strengthen others, and now with children of her own she hopes to pass on these values to them as well as the next generation of goldsmiths. 

Eventually in 1993, Aimee moved to Toronto to pursue a degree in sculpture and design and stayed to work in advertising for some time. Although unable to conform to a corporate lifestyle she started taking lampmaking and metal smithing classes which fired up her passion for jewellery. This passion would eventually lead to a fulltime job and lifetime obsession in all things gemstones and fine jewellery.

Today you can find her either in her studio or talking to suppliers hunting for Canadian sources for her next project (or four). Working as a custom jeweller and pursuing gem facetting, Aimee hopes to build the framework for all of the Canadian Jewellery industry, but especially the new generation of jewellers, to follow.
